2025-03-15 22:38:40 +0000 UTCWhile I'm not in any kind of relationship, I did recognize that when my daughter was a teen, I was much more plugged into the pop culture stuff because it was part of the world around me. Now I'm like "Who the hell is Sabrina Carpenter?" Also turns out my daughter is 7 years older than her boyfriend (He's 23 not 14 LOL). He's a lovely boy. LOL Now what if she came home with a boyfriend 20 years older? I know I wouldn't say anything but hypocritically, I know I'd have to adjust. I read romance with age gap and am fine with it. Reality is sometimes a different thing, but people have to live their own lives and if a relationship burns out and ends, it's not the end of the world.
