January recommendations! Lost queer films, Dali's mustache, and 50s nostalgia

Hello!

It's time once again for the monthly feedback video! This is the series of videos that's free to everyone on Patreon -- it started as a Q&A but over the months it's become a fun way for Patrons to recommend stuff that they like to each other. So! If you like my stuff, you might like these other things as recommended by patrons like you!

This month we've got some more interesting British media, including Julie Andrews playing a boy (again) and also an intriguing question: Is there a British equivalent of Tab Hunter or Rock Hudson? (Yes, yes, I know about Archie Leach, but I don't think he was quite so enthusiastically queer, and he didn't really make his fortune until he'd been in America for a while.)

Also, in response to my Bonus Video about lost gay media, I got some more fascinating recommendations for queer films that came and went and maybe deserve a closer look. Of course, my favorite is Little Ashes, purely for Robert Pattinson's mustache as Dalí.

Thanks as always for being a part of this Patreon. And please continue to keep recommendations coming!!!

Here's the "Feedback videos" collection, let me know what you think of this method of organizing them: https://www.patreon.com/collection/332880?view=expanded

Woah is the digitized vintage magazine collection project still ongoing?

Another actor worth mentioning is Alan Bates, he was married but is known to have had gay relationships. One of his (TV) movies is "An Englishman Abroad", based on a true story told by Coral Browne, she plays herself in that movie. Here is a vimeolink to the movie: https://vimeo.com/858290218. Coral Browne, by the way, is also a fascinating lady to look into. But that's another story.
