In the 1950s, queer people had to go to extraordinary lengths to hide in plain sight, and Rock (and his unpleasant agent, Henry Willson) did everything they could to keep an exposé about his homosexuality from leaking. They may have gone a bit too far when they arranged for him to marry Henry's secretary.
