Hello there! This week I've got some ~thrilling~ news about my book (audiobook recording has commenced, and we've announced a few tour dates at gaysitcoms.com with more on the way) ... and also a look at a moment when a gay activist got rowdier than anyone expected and briefly shut down a news broadcast. Also! A bit of a mystery with John Waters and The Simpsons. And a sneak peek at my next video, featuring the delightful George Takei and his arch-nemesis, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I'm really looking forward to your video about George Takei! My neighbors and good friends are a gay couple who introduced George to his husband Brad when they all belonged to the Frontrunners, a gay running club in LA. I've met George twice, once at a Trek con during the 70s when we had lunch and again when he came to Seattle on a book tour for his autobiography, Altho he wasn't yet out at the time, he spoke at a gay Asian/Pacific Islanders group in Seattle, talking about his life before & after Star Trek. I especially remember him talking about how difficult it was to get his parents' generation to talk about their wartime experience. He later wrote and starred in a wonderful musical play about life in the internment camp, It ran on Broadway and was filmed for theatrical screening. Highly recommended!
