Bonus Video! A nice long chat with Golden Girls writer Stan Zimmerman

I'm doing something a little different with this week's bonus video -- I'm going to share with you my full conversation with Stan Zimmerman, who was a writer on many episodes of The Golden Girls and went on to such delightful projects as the Brady Bunch movie and the lesbian kiss episode of Roseanne. Stan was kind enough to chat with me for my recent Golden Girls video, and I included a few clips of our conversation in that but this is the full unabridged chat, which includes a startling story about guying sweaters, how he finally decided to come out despite everyone telling him not to, and some very touching memories of the stars of the show. Also, a hot scoop about his show Silver Foxes, about a group of elderly gay men retiring to Palm Springs!
I've also got a little sneap peek for you at my next big video, which will be about the SCANDLOUS show Soap and will be coming out (fingers crossed) next Sunday, February 6. Oh lord is it nearly February already???

(I would have liked to hear more about his time on Roseanne, though.) I hope "Silver Foxes" does get picked up as a series, since it sounds like a great concept for a show (with a great writer behind it).

My mom just saw what I was watching and sent me to my room. I had my own little b&w TV in my room, though. Guess she didn't think about that...

Our parish priest came to dinner at my family's, and he told my parents that "Soap" was an "adult comedy," and that I shouldn't be watching it. So then, I had to watch it on the old black & white TV in the back of the house. Don't get me started on Catholics!
