2021 Recap -- Here's the Best of the Year, Thanks to You!

Hello neighbors!

I hope the year-end holidays find you in good cheer, surrounded by loving family of whatever composition brings you the greatest joy. I know I say this a lot, but I couldn't make any of the stuff that I do without your support, and I'm so grateful every single day to be on this fun ride with you.

As 2021 comes to a close (good riddance, frankly) I wanted to go through some of the highlights of the year -- some of the best stuff that you made possible by being a part of this Patreon.

Videos!

Thanks to you, I was able to release more videos about film & TV history than any previous year -- eighteen of them, whew! Here's the top five new videos of 2021:

Bonus Videos!

Okay this was a BIG year for bonus videos -- I was able to release thirty (!!!) of them this year, about five hours' worth of weird funny stories I dug up, obscure gems I uncovered, clips that you sent me, and goofy magazine treasures. Crawling through archives not only takes a long, long time, but it can also be pretty expensive to obtain rare old materials. It's all thanks to your support that I was able to devote enough time and resources to go hunting for fun stuff to bring back to you. Here's the top bonus videos of 2021:

Sewers of Paris!

Still going strong after all these years -- The Sewers of Paris podcast was my first piece of ~content~ on Patreon, back in (good lord) 2015. Featuring interviews with queer folks about the entertainment that's changed their lives, here are the most-downloaded episodes of the year:

Other Stuff!

In addition to all those major projects, I was able to release lots of other little bits and bobs this year -- if you like my stuff, you'll probably enjoy:

What's Next?

I've got a looooooooong list of projects to work on in 2022 -- look forward to more of everything coming soon. And I'm sorry to be repetitive, but: Thank you for joining me on Patreon and being a partner in the creation of all this stuff. It's a true joy to make videos and podcasts and whatnot for all of you, and an even greater joy to know that through your support, your feedback, your ideas, your requests, and your research help, we're all making it together.

See you next year!

Matt
