ANYWAY! I wanted to share with you some more bits and bobs that I discovered while researching my video about The Nanny, but that I wasn't able to include in the final video. And as luck would have it, members of this here Patreon (like you!) get to see those fun little tidbits; check out their sly reference to The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and also the gay joke hidden away in the forgotten show that launched Fran Drescher's TV career. And! Also! I'm hard at work on a new video about queer characters on '90s animated TV shows. Big thanks to the viewers who suggested that I take a look at Rocko's Modern Life and got me sniffing down this trail!
I'm deep in the research phase now, so if you know of LGBTQ+ moments from '90s cartoons, please send them my way. I'm looking for stuff like the un-lesbianned characters from Sailor Moon; the closet-clown episode of Rocko; and even stuff that wasn't confirmed until years later, like Lexington on Gargoyles. Send me whatever comes to mind!
