The history guy just did his top 5 tanks with Bovington & had some really interesting vehicles. I had never seen anything about the BARV before. Any chance of some more information?

What's the story of how you got started working for wargaming? Also a follow up question what started the inside the chieftains hatch series?

Would the Canadian Ram Mk II tank have been any good had it seen combat?

Let me quickly rephease the first line of question 1; not so much a tendency, but the apparent advantages especially in a modern counter-insurgent role of such a hull design.

Have you ever considered looking at the tanks from the receiving end of the barrel of the gun(s)? I was airborne (light infantry basically) while in the army and looking at those steel monsters scared the crap out of us.

I've been wondering what the fastest tank in the world is. It's theoretically a simple question, but most of the examples that get thrown around as answers like the Hellcat and the British Scorpion may or may not technically count as "proper" tanks, being classified as different sort of AFV:s like tank destroyers and recon vehicles instead. Then there are the likes of Christie vehicles that can run without tracks to reach even higher speeds, further complicating the answer. So, on to the question proper: What is, or was, the fastest vehicle in the world that you can call a tank with a clear conscience?

How effective are flamethrowers vs tanks?

1) Given that the Sherman was designed to operate in all theaters of war and was extensively tested for that, how did the T-34 fair in the different theaters in comparison? 2)How did the crews of the M26 Pershing feel about the tank in comparison to the Sherman ?

Was the type 95 a decent tank in the idea of island hopping that the Japanese did a lot the tank was “armored” enough to stop rifle fire and was small enough to be moved relatively easily. Plus having a 37 mm gun means you can carry canister to take out infantry and at the start of the war tanks.

Where in the name of good god did you come up with the "significant emotional event" line?

How and why did west "fell behind" USSR in regards to armour and gun technology? USSR used composite armour and smoothbore guns since early 60's but west first introduced tanks with those features in late 70's/ early 80's. America and Germany tried to built MBT-70 but that tank still relied on spaced armour rather than composite and was armed with rifled gun (though germans wanted to introduce 120mm on that tank).

Again, a pair of questions. 1) Given the tendency of more modern APC/AFVs to be designed with a V-shaped hull, why hasn't the M2 Bradley been upgraded with such a thing? Is it a cost issue, a practical issue with the way the vehicle's laid out, or simply that the Army doesn't deem it a worthy tradeoff for space? (I'm aware of the AMPV which has such a hull design, but that's a purpose-designed APC rather than an APC-capable AFV like the Bradley is if I remember correctly). 2) During the Soviet-Afghan war, were there any specific desert modifications (field-level by the crew, or supply-level by general issue) made to Soviet vehicles such as the BMP, BTR-60s/70s, or T-55/62 (I may be missing a few), in a similar vein to the armored engine deck vents installed on North Africa-bound Panzer IIIs?

Q & A: One often sees pictures of tanks going over barriers, exposing the underside, did engineers of anti tank obstacles and anti tank defenses purposely build obstacles to force tanks to expose the underside for anti-tank weapons. Related topic, UK had the PIAT, Germany the panzerfaust, US the bazooka; did Russia and Japan develop any personal anti tank weapons ?
