Sadly what I feared when I first heard it from leakers 2 month ago actually ended up happening : Wuthering Waves 2.0 version wound/weathering new features are making almost all mods unstable. Those alternative textures will enter the scene when any active resonator is damaged below their 1/3 max Hp. Although It won't happen 100% of the time since there is a "random" variable behind that will decide if the base texture is replaced or not by the "wounded" one (like a dice throw). When it finally occurs, you can imagin that the game go to another place to pick those brand new special textures that weren't edited/worked in our mods making your current appearance somewhat reverted back to a (weathered) vanilla until your next heal, swap or teleportation. (see the screenshot)
Still, for us mod creators this feature is a calamity that will force us to go back to our oldest creations to make them compatible with this new feature. And yeah, that won't be a quick job on the fly : it will mean a lot of additional working hours to reach the new game version standards. The lazy way would be to replace those new alternative wounded texture with the same as normal state, hence making this new feature disappear. So with no other choice I'll take that temporary solution for now in a rush to update my past mods to a state that won't break too much your immersion but I think that on the long run and with more time I'll play along by giving new custom made wounded textures for each of my mods! (which I'm deeply confident only a few creator will follows, due to the insanity of this choice)
Also, the only exceptions that won't suffer from this new feature will be :
mods implying new mesh with custom external textures (like bodyparts or characters from other games, etc). Result will be they will more likely never have this feature compatible on the modified areas.
mods that are simple 3D edits with no texture rework or recolor. In this case there is fortunately for us no "wounded" 3dmesh state that could break mod's integrity. Result will simply be in most cases the new textures deployed by the mod without any flaw.
Thanks for reading, don't hesitate to spread the info if you come accross some people confused about this. I've been quite early to realize the root of this issue and I'm already working on the first mod fixes but that will takes quite some time. I'm also sorry to inform you that as a consequence next mod (Carlotta) will be delayed accordingly. But please continue to support our white rabbit mod factory, needing you guys positiveness now more than ever!
