They really feel realistic and human. In the first episode you can see kumikos struggle continuing concert band or not. She joins Kitauji (a school with a "weaker" concert band (bronze medal; her sister mentioning kitauji as a weak school)), but she still likes concert band and wants to continue with it. Glad you liked it so far :)
