This is an decent premise, but there's a noticeable lack of "Game Overs", in the "Your quest ends here" sense, which is ones of the best hallmarks of your CYOAs. Most of the failures boil down to a paragraph of getting caught, with little more than a "Go back one move" message. Does that distinction make sense? The more "Bad Endings" vs "Death-and-Restarts", the better!
