Really enjoyed the story but there wasn't any sense of actual stakes nor did it seem much like a CYOA as you usually make it, don't get me wrong still liked it but I'm not so sure this should be called a cyoa as the choices presented didn't really affect any ending of the story as there's only one, only modified scenarios, I agree much with bonesteoca

It's just...this isn't really a Choose Your Own Adventure, when the reader has no agency in the outcome, whether that's failure or success. Honestly, when I saw the "choose your character" option, my heart leapt in excitement at the thought of playing through Part 1 four times to determine which girls would be out of commission for Part 2 or something, where the second half's margin for error might adaptively grow or shrink based on how many characters were left. Instead, this turned out to be a fairly fixed, albeit non-linear, story that has only one true "ending", which is a shame. The finality you've given to "bad outcomes" in your past CYOAs are a big reason why I love them so much, because they raise the stakes in a very tangible way.
