To advertise the coming release of the Cestvs anime, its author Shizuya Wazarai is giving interviews alongside Kentarou Miura. That's because they're old friends, and Wazarai was Miura's first assistant on Berserk (non-credited), so he's helping him promote his work.
They've given two interviews recently. We'll be translating one of them in the coming weeks. The other one mostly revolves around Cestvs, but has an interesting tidbit that I'm sharing here.
Wazarai: Honestly asking, what percentage of your concept has been realized in Berserk?
Miura: I’ve been planning to fold it from now on. *laughs* I’ve thought to fold ((the story)) from now on, not unfolding it anymore.
What Miura means by folding and unfolding here is expanding the story (unfold) and tying things up (fold). It's something we've talked about in the past, how with Elfhelm the story is going to stop expanding and instead start converging towards the ending, but here we get a direct confirmation from Miura.
