Looks Saki has many believers ,on Miyako main island, I used to think that her believers were limited to the people of Ogami island, or at most some fishermen and sailors on Miyako island. Because https://miyako-jinja.com/ And, looks like most of her believers are older, it's time to attract some younger believers.

2024-11-23 23:36:55 +0000 UTCWhat we know from Misao’s ceremonies seems to be that traditionally the villagers would gather to see the Priestess off, watching as she disappeared under the water. I would imagine some of the younger ones might even have tried to follow her down. But eventually, they would all just wait on the beach until she came back up for a breath, seemingly unbothered by the fact that their holy woman hadn’t inhaled for a solid ten to twenty minutes.

2024-11-23 16:59:00 +0000 UTC“See” a grand blessing is an awkward term, if most of the ceremony will be held underwater. Then again, give Aya or Eri a camera and have them follow Saki down. I’m curious why there was no preparation that we got to see. Is Saki really just that confident in her skills? Then again, with my luck recently, the whole thing will be above water and we won’t see so much as a toe getting wet.
