2024-10-03 12:22:45 +0000 UTCA couple observations/questions. One: is this swim comparable to the cousins dive through Tori-Ike tunnel? If it’s a Shrine Maiden ritual, I have to imagine it’s even longer and more grueling. Two: apparently Sea Priestess’s are allowed to wear whatever they want on the dive, as long as it doesn’t give them some kind of performance help, like a wetsuit or fins. Otherwise Saki wouldn’t be diving in her bikini for the ritual. Finally, she got permission from the elders? How and why? I thought Saki understood that they essentially separated her from her family in order to coerce her to listen to them. Unless she got permission for the dive but then decided to change the itinerary somewhat, like changing the destination or lengthening the swim, something that tests her that even the elders wouldn’t be comfortable with her attempting (like a fifteen minute dive rather than a ten). I REALLY hope we get a follow-up to this.
