In the Lake

Her legs passed through alternating layers of cold and warmth that were typical of an early summer lake. She liked it here in the lake, maybe second to the school diving pool that she was so accustomed to.
…And an ocean? No way, the gushing winds there would be salty and the waves a bit frightening. No oceans for me - thank you (after all, Jun was an urban girl).
