Florida Man
Added 2023-08-27 12:59:01 +0000 UTCI recently learned through SNS that if you google "Florida Man" along with your date of birth you get a whole array of bizarre and dishonorable acts that were performed by a man/woman on that particular day in the great state of Florida. Here are a few examples for my own birthday (Oct. 22), just from the year 2019:
- An extremely intoxicated man rode his bike on a high school campus, meandered into a classroom and then took a seat at an open desk, resulting in his arrest
- A naked man covered in Vaseline was caught running through a mall in the Southern Florida area
- A woman repeatedly hit a man in the head with a hammer over a dispute about a pork chop
Please try and see for yourselves. There was another interesting case which involved a man getting arrested for forcing a small alligator to drink his beer, but unfortunately this happened in October 2019 but not on the 22nd. Darn. :-)

The reason why is because Florida has certain media laws which require police reports to be made public. From there, the funnier ones get filtered through the Internet.

2023-09-23 23:48:48 +0000 UTCAh, it seems like you are already well aware of this:-) What is interesting and a bit surreal is that these mostly come from police reports and thus hardly have any context. I mean, there must have been a whole life story before that Florida Man donned his mask and decided to become the amazing Spider-Man :-)
