You can see her hands clasped over her bikini top (yet another thing Saki inherited!) presumably holding something to her chest. It looks either like the strap to a stopwatch or maybe to goggles? After all, where better to train than the beach, and maybe seeing how long Misao could stay underwater sparked something in young Saki.

Also I wonder if Saki mother still did perform her sacred duties while pregnant? As that would also be interesting to see how a pregnancy would affect one’s freediving

Was it by choice or by force, and how much support did Nate give his daughter after it happened? I’d still like to see some sort of mini-series showing an early training dive with Saki and Nate and/or her mom, as I imagine that cutting yourself off from oxygen through freediving isn’t something most kids Saki’s age would even consider, at least not seriously.
