Depends on the monitor, have two monitors with speaker, one is garbage amd the second one is actually usefull and is definetly enough to watch Youtube and musik, if youre tired to turn on the audio system

These are the 2nd gen of this model. The originals had a different (i think prettier) design, but no mic or volume control. The sound was great, great passive noise control, but the wires would ruin it if you moved at all. I liked them more than the 2nd gen, and they lasted me nearly a decade.

I have a question with physically noisy cables. I just thought that's what happened, until I learned otherwise from you haha. Is it a cheap material thing? Or cheaply designed thing?

iPhone audio wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and stereo recording when you were trying to blow them up was kinda fun!

I need to share this, I have a pair of Samsung Galaxy bud pros, and I dropped them 30 to 40 feet off the ground... Onto concrete, and they made it. The case didn't even get scuffed.

Judging by the grot on the cable near the jack (as seen at 3:11), these should've been put in the wash a couple of times by the seller. btw I agree with the other patrons about the audio being perfectly cromulent in this video. gg iPhone.

I had these buds and I hated them! None of the tips fit, they would fall out of my ear if someone looked at them wrong and the cable noise was awful. Someone did you a service selling you used buds mate. Loved the vid tho!

I had these headphones! Yeah the cable was annoying and of course I lost the dang things.

I had these back in the day! They felt like an audiophile product to my teenage ears. Apple also swapped them out of warranty for me a few times so I had a functional pair longer than most.

I was trying to remember from the thumbnail why they looked so familiar. It was the ear tip holder that reminded me i had these. The fit was really good. Shame about that damn cable!

Fun fact!: These are dual driver IEMs. I actually got a pair of them for my collection, just to have them. With EQ, they're spectacular, but you are absolutely right about the cable being just the worst.

Yeah I had these when I had an iPod classic. I absolutely loved them and used them for a few years. These were also probably one of the reasons why I moved away from Apple, as when I needed replacements for the in ear silicon bits, they didn't sell any, and every now and then I would get zapped by the actual earphones via the mesh. I liked the sound at the time, but once I started looking around, I didn't go back. edit: oh and the cable wore out horribly around the jack and the ear pieces, I actually switched them out a couple of times because the warranty was too good for the actual product.

I used these in high school. whenever they broke as apple cables do I would take them apart and solder them onto other dirtybuds so i could continue to use them. Mine came in a square case though so they may not be the same model as these. High school was like 2007-11 for me. I dont think I used them after 09 though.

Latest scam/issue I've noticed when looking for a 4th gen touch is listings that say they ship from the US but if you go to the seller's profile their location is China where you know it's gonna be a cheap and dirty "refurbish". Amazingly I did find a 32GB one from a US electronics warehouse clearer, still has the white protective shipping sleeve on it. Sadly they sold out before I could buy a second one as spare after seeing the first is legit

Honestly not having the fancy microphone made it feel much more personal. I like when the after shows are pretty casual with you just talking about something you're interested in, and this just made it feel more like that

Got a good deal on a boxed MEGA CD and seller just waited 3 days and cancelled with no contact and eBay said the seller cancelled because I requested to cancel which they promptly said thats obviously a lie from the seller. But they said that all they could do was suspend the seller for a month. Thanks eBay... It want my MEGA CD 😔 and I can't afford the prices they go for now. I hate eBay but all other alternatives are crap.

I had (probably still have) a pair of these. Regular Apple buds never fit my ears. Bought some early noise canceling Sony earbuds which hurt my ears. Finally bought these which didn't hurt and sounded okay though I wish they had ANC. For the price I should have widened my search since I'll bet there were better ones to choose from.

The laphony's remind me of my old Sony mdr-e828lp earbuds I had as a kid. Just super loud and virtually indestructible

I used to have a pair of these back when I used an iPhone 5 (and later 5s) mainly because the included buds would fall out of my ears quite easily (funny because that design of buds now fit better in my ears than airpods pros). I bought them at my local Apple store so maybe they weren't sold in Australian brick and mortar stores? (I live in Canada). Having bought mine new, I was actually able to experience how they sounded out of the box and they were actually good. The price was just high for what they were but chi-fi hadn't really taken off back then (this was 2013/14).

Honestly, the iPhone mic sounds absolutely alright, be it with my phone's speaker and with my big stinky sound system. Absolutely fine. I enjoyed the video just as much as the other. I hope your weekend will be better than the week has been so far.

Had 2 pairs of these! I liked that design but the cable just keep getting filthy. The biggest flaw is the earplug, that thing got loose after half year using then someday you'll lose it somewhere.

Agreeing with other people, the sound quality on this one is surprisingly good!

I'm glad you left the Patreon as it is, I'm just weeks away from my bachelor's degree but money is still pretty tight and I think I would not have made the step to move on to Floatplane even though I like the project. These iems actually contains dual balanced armature driver rather than conventional dynamic driver, which is also Apple’s only try with those type of driver

I loved those IEM, they did sound nice (new and all). But the rubber cable skin got very sticky after a time and yes the cable did transfer every movement.
