This is because I think of the muscles, Aya made many deep dive while Chihaya much less of the fact of being a city dweller, suddenly she has trouble with deep diving.

Additionally, does it bother anyone else that we never see any of the girls equalize? It’s a rather small nitpick, but something that would inject a bit more realism into a story that can sometimes stray into the fantastical.

How is Chihaya lagging behind in terms of speed here? At the beginning of this series she was shown to be able to keep up with Aya and Saki (at least down to -100 m). I assume they would have been going full throttle then, in order to get as much mileage out of their air as possible. It’s possible Eri is just faster than that, but Aya doesn’t seem to be utilizing the new swimming techniques she learned from Ken, so shouldn’t Chihaya at least be able to equal the pace of her cousin?
