I'm a paramedic in the US, and when I pulled the battery out of the copper flashlight I clip to my uniform epaulet - which is a special lithium 3.7V AAA - It's a goddamn PKCELL. I've been cycling two of those turds in that flashlight for YEARS in some truly abusive conditions as a medic. Apparently PKcell makes some decent nuggets.

Regarding the whole "screen-dimming" thing on that phone in the main video - it's probably android's adaptive brightness feature. It's completely useless from my experience, but you can turn it off in the settings.
