I decided at the last minute that this strip needed those last two panels to provide a direct pay-off without having to wait a week between updates. Still not lookin' great but I'm giving it all I've got. Not sure about the hand drawn word bubbles either. Mentally I tell myself they're more work so they have to be better than my usual blockier method, but then I get it assembled and it just doesn't work for me. Blergh. Well, I hope y'all enjoy the strip nonetheless.
Next update will be next Sunday and probably gonna stick with mainline C6 for a bit since I've got the narrative rollin'. Thanks for the love and support everyone. Y'all keep me going. Love y'all~

Well, that Jojo's reference was certainly fitting indeed; given how strong Stablesister Diamond seems to be, at least when it comes to someone fighting her head on, with our current group of heroes taking that detail into account and deciding to have Evita distract Diamond, while Starlight Butterfly now attempts to do something; with them either trying to rescue Ginger (since they'll need all the allies they can get here), or potentially break Diamond's partner out of the mind control which they are under, hoping to gain a new potential ally; or at least prevent them from backing up Diamond here! Still, the fact Evita has actually been willing to act as a decoy for Starlight Butterfly is after showing some pretty major character development on their own part, given how standoffish they had been to those who weren't a part of her close family, not even a couple of pages previously; with her being extremely sassy toward Starlight Butterfly in their most recent interactions... Wonder if that whole process will continue or not? But, I'm getting the bad feeling things just aren't going to go so smoothly here, given that this new pony might be under the same levels of warding as Michelle and Trina are; which will result in Starlight Butterfly being repelled from the backlash, or worse. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what might happen next! Certainly getting very curious to see how things will play out, given how neither side seems to have a major edge over the other right now, at least from initial impressions... But could be wrong? Thanks again for the awesome work and take as much time as you need to work on these projects, we're perfectly willing to wait for however long it might actually take.

How would they react if all of a sudden that ability stopped working and any energy changes made by black stone got slowly reversed as a person who could absorb the energy passively was nearby?

2024-10-21 17:07:44 +0000 UTCThe hand drawn bubble can work especially if you're trying to show emotional content as well. The Foglios' Girl Genius uses changed word bubbles to reflect when some of their Sparky characters are in the "Mad" place vs. normal behavior.

Preferably *after* breaking her jaw and both legs. In a painful way.

Or you can more easily show emotions with face plus bubble style. Can also give something that can actually bring the whole tone down from being so stressfully serious all the time
