It was the perfect thing to say at the perfect time, a fascinating word choice that plucked a string I barely realized I had. It cemented everything up to that point and set me up for everything that came after. This is a wonderful, layered journey with lots more to it ("warm cruelty" is right on, and it's delicious), but it's that one moment that won't get out of my head.
