Billing
Added 2024-12-11 14:56:13 +0000 UTCIt seems, that despite the account being on pause people have been billed. This is not something that I wanted and I have contacted patreon to ask them what went on and to refund all those who have been billed.
I have in the past refunded people whose billing happened in the periods between the pauses ending and me re-pausing as sadly I am only allowed to pause for a month at a time.
I thank all of you for your patience and good wishes.
I have (or at least will) unlock all the chapters on here to any paid members. I think you guys have waited more than long enough. Any new chapters, if and when i start writing again, will follow the weekly schedule according to your membership rate.

Regarding billing, this is the answer I got from Patreon; it seems they can't fix issues they created themselves! ...... From Patreon support: I looked into this for you, and this does appear to be a glitch on our end. While I’m unable to fix this for you right now, I’ve shared your report with our engineering team so we can further investigate this issue. I’m unable to provide an exact timeline for when this might be fixed. If you wish to request a refund. We highly suggest reaching out to the creator. You can message your creator on Patreon by following these simple steps: 1. Log in to Patreon and click on the Messages icon located in the upper-left corner of your profile. If you are using the Patreon app, you can find the Messages icon in the bottom menu. 2. Type the creator's name in the search bar to start a new conversation. You can also tap the button or plus sign icon in the app. 3. Select the creator you want to message from the list that populates in the message draft window or start typing their name. 4. Compose your message and click Send. All creators can issue refunds for transactions on Patreon, and they should be able to resolve this for you. However, if the creator refuses or you aren't able to receive a response, please let us know immediately.

Reading a few pages early is a nice bonus, but the whole platform is just a nice way to show the story is appreciated. It shouldn't make you feel forced to treat it like work. That's an extra job and no one wants that. Just have a good time, do something fun, and best wishes.

Maybe Caleb had done what your innards needed from him. Your need satisfied, his job is done. No wonder he's not ready to come back from break. Or maybe he has just moved on completely.
