Added 2025-02-18 09:28:20 +0000 UTCSince the release of the Ferrari and my last post 2 weeks ago the Alpine and Abarth have seen amazing amounts of progress. Despite my vacation the Alpine is coming along nicely and Marguek42 has done a stunning and swift job on the Abarth. Together with Pasta and Marguek42, we sit down in voice chat scrutineering sessions to judge the models and look for inaccuracies, compare them to reference images etc. No egos being hurt here, it's all in the interest of creating the best possible model under 300k tris, because we have to keep in mind, these beauties will be raced in grids of up to 60 cars, performance optimization is key. Still some way to go, it will be up to me to finish both cars and make them Assetto-ready.
Now, since Marguek42 has done his part on the Abarth, he is looking for a new challenge, that's why, after not even a month or so, I will post a new poll for you to vote for the next project, very soon! It's amazing to work together with another modeler on these cars, by the time I get these 2 babies AC-ready, he should already have the next car prepped for detailing, UV maps, textures, etc. This practically halves the time it would take me to do everything on my own!
