Going through your comments on my last post and looking up your favorite folk songs was a wonderful journey.
Today, I've been listening to them all collected in one playlist (while doing some much needed studio organization and cleaning!) and I'm blown away by the synergy.
I had to share the result with you and thank you for curating my new favorite folk playlist!
Here are all your song suggestions, or at least the ones I could find on Spotify, in no particular order, but very cozy and comfortable next to one another.

Oh gosh I am perhaps too late to this train, but what a lovely idea! I am excited to listen. A few of my favorites are Scarborough Fair/Wild World/A Case of You (classics), White Winter Hymnal (anything Fleet Foxes really), The Wailin' Jennys are so good too. But for Irish inspired toe tappin folk, Road to Spencer by Kentucky Thunder and Ricky Skaggs/Wildwood Flower by David Grisman and Tony Rice for Mandolin Tone Poems/Cardiac Ceilidh by Face The West (you will have to dance listening to that one).

The movie is November Christmas. It's about a family dealing with a daughter with brain cancer, and how their community rallies around them. Mid-way into the movie this song plays and it fits so perfectly. This movie, and thus this song has become a small tradition between my mom and me for the last decade or more. This past year it took on an even greater meaning for me as my own daughter had a brain tumor. When we got to this part of the movie I broke down. Thanks be to God and all his saints, especially St Nektarios, she was miraculously healed.
