My Favorite Songwriting Practices

Today I’m excited to breakdown some of the songwriting practices that have had the biggest impact on my life as a writer:
How to get critical voices out of your head
How to wake up your observer
Feeding your imagination
Why I use three different journals
Creating with your hands
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and questions, and hoping these tips come in handy the next time you step into the writers room! ✍️

Thank you so much, Eva, that was very inspiring to listen to you! also started writing morning pages (after reading Julia Cameron) and it really changed my life, because I finally found my inner creative child again. I also like Pat Pattison's approach with the senses and his excersises. Do you know Jeff Tweedy? He has some beautiful ideas, too about songwriting and its playful approach. I also use the voice memo app on my phone a lot. Because my ideas always come when I am on my bike and then I quickly sing in my memo app. It's now a huge collection of song ideas and whenever I feel empty and uninspired, I listen to the eldest notes and I am surprised about them. Keep on your inspiring beautiful creative journey!
