Touring Survey!

My dear Owls...

The time has come at last! I'm preparing to book my first Lady Moon tour and I want to hear from you first!

1. What city are you in?

2. What is your favorite 50 - 150 seat venue to hear acoustic music in?

3. Would you be willing to drive 50 - 100 miles to see a Lady Moon concert?

4. If you're interested in hosting a house concert, send me a message ;)

5. If there's another artist you think I should tour with let me know!

I'm so excited to meet you guys in person and finally have the opportunity to thank you face to face for making things like this possible.

I hope to see you in or near your town soon :)

All my love,

Eva

Kashia Faumui

I’m just now catching up on all the messages! 1. Nashville/Franklin, TN 2. I’m not well versed in venues, but I know there’s a ton around our music city 3. I’d be willing to travel, but I might not be able to financially

Catie Simpkins

4. Alela Diane?

Jess

1. Langley, WA 2. What is your favorite 50 - 150 seat venue to hear acoustic music in? There are so many! My friend has a great venue/retreat for a house concert. 3. Would you be willing to drive 50 - 100 miles to see a Lady Moon concert? Yes!

Jess

I’m in Washington but I’d travel to Missoula for sure!

Callie

Eva, instead of slamming a long list on you I'll offer you some assistance and a few options near me. Ellicott City, or Catonsville Maryland. I have contacts in the area who can help find a space. Upfront options are a coffee house or a large old church with two great spaces. I've helped a local non-profit with non alchohol NYE parties. They are very interested in helping/sponsoring. Give us a time frame.

Dave Dittman

Well, Missoula, Montana!! We can have you as a guest with the Zoo arts center (part of a music co-op_, and in Big Fork, there are a couple of options. And, of course, I'll have our mutual friend, Bruce Weber come on out for the Big Fork gig, right near where he lives. To cap it off, with Happy Montana as a guest. :) Woot!

Happy Montana

hi eva, i'm just down the road in Boulder here the Trident cafe on pearl is pretty great always down to drive to foco or denver, etc also, i grew up playing trad music in Burlington VT, and still have connections at the vermont folklife center that book and promote shows at various places around the state, happy to put you in touch if you'll be headed up that way

Dylan Hudson

I can also recommend some openers for you, if you decide to do the gig!

Jon Phipps

Waller's Coffee Shop in Decatur, Georgia is nice! It is a stone's throw from Atlanta, and a wonderful intimate venue!

Jon Phipps

That would be great! Thank you Dave :)

Lady Moon

Ari! A hang would be super fun :) Let's see what we can do!

Lady Moon

Abby! This is super helpful! I will check out LIC. Maybe we'll have to do an Irish pub crawl ;)

Lady Moon

Lydia!!! Oh this would be so fun. Reunity sounds heavenly. Yes, at the very least i will see you on your home turf ;) Miss you my friend.

Lady Moon

Hahaha I'd be chuffed she'd let me open for HER! What an incredible performer. Let me check out the Black Rose, a house concert would be a blast!

Lady Moon

Jeff! This is so helpful. Thank you! And thank you for your kind offer to stay. We may very well take you up on that ;)

Lady Moon

That could be a fun option! Let me see how our rout pans out, a house concert in between might be just the thing ;)

Lady Moon

You're a dream ;)

Lady Moon

Thank you Jeremy! Just curious, would Austin be too far of a drive?

Lady Moon

John you are so sweet. Thank you :')

Lady Moon

I miss Tulsa!! It would be great to get back there ;)

Lady Moon

You're the best, Joe!

Lady Moon

Jesse this is so sweet of you! I will definitely hit you up for street team help if we head to Austin. These sound like some great venue options! ;)

Lady Moon

Oooh these sound like some great options! Thank you my friend ;)

Lady Moon

Ah this sounds like a blast! Thank you Tim!

Lady Moon

I LOVE Jammin Java! Haven't been there in ages :)

Lady Moon

Thank you Elijah! This sounds like a fun option ;)

Lady Moon

The Baltimore/ Washington DC area would be great. I could send a list of venues later.

Dave Dittman

Eva, Minneapolis/St. Paul has a great scene with many venues in that size. I recently saw a show at Icehouse https://www.icehousempls.com/ This year I drove to Chicago (400 miles) to see a concert, I may be open to doing that especially if we get to hang before/after show 😉

Ari Koinuma

1. NYC, 2. We have some beautiful intimate spots in Astoria that I think would be wonderful for you! A place called LIC Bar might be really great (more of a music venue than a bar, really). Also an abundance of beautiful old Irish pubs that I’m sure would love to have you! 3. We would definitely travel to see you!

Abby Dormer

Santa Fe!! If you're touring in the summer, Reunity Resources is a lovely community farm with a lil outdoor music venue---think lawn chairs, fire pits, farm-fresh food truck, BYOB, kiddos dancing, doggos prancing. Tumbleroot Brewery has a nice lively outdoor patio and stage. For indoor shows, Tumbleroot also has an indoor stage. There's also La Reina for intimate indoor shows. Of course I will drive to see your shows! Or I could just quit my job and become your roadie again? I might have some friends in Santa Fe who would be excited to host a house concert. Can't wait to come to your house concert at Greyrock, at the very least! Love ya. <3

Lydia O'Reilly

1. Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs 2. Stargazers would be wonderful, but probably too large. The Black Rose Acoustic Society would probably be the best bet in the area. 3. Of course we will drive. 4. We would love to do a house concert, but our house is not set up correctly. We do have friends that have a perfect house for that. If you want to go that direction here let me know and I will set things up. 5. I don't suppose Sarah Jaroz would open for you....

David Wolfe

1. Albany, NY 2. Venues - Old Songs in Voorheesville 10-15 minutes outside of Albany seats 100 people. Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs 30+ minutes north of Albany seats 110 (famous place a very young Bob Dylan played at amongst many others, although it's since been renovated). There's a black box theater in Schenectady that holds 90-100 inside Proctor's Theater called the Addy. I'll keep digging in my brain but I think those are the only smaller seated venues in the area. 3. I'll drive as far as I have to but please keep it within 3-4 hours if possible? 😁 4. I would love to host a house concert but probably can't properly accommodate 50 people inside the way the house is built (130 years old. Lots of square feet but cut up into smallish rooms). If the weather cooperates we could do something outside but the backyard is as much driveway as it is grass. You most likely could stay with us if you need a place to stay anywhere near Albany. 5. Grassroots Rebels (my band. We will not draw people but we'll have a lot of fun!!). More seriously - I love the Accidentals very much. Haley Heynderickx is amazing.

Jeff Tehan

-Chattanooga, TN. -None at this time. -Yes. -My house wouldn't work so well, but I know of/could absolutely find a couple house options for you around the area. :-) -I think you would have a great time touring with Zach Winters, if you guys could match up schedules. :-D He's a swell fellow with an awesome family, & very much your musical compliment.

Nathan Slaymaker

You know I'd drive! ♥️

Linda Billson

College Station, Texas, and, yeah I totally would drive to see you!

Jeremy Brett

I responded on Kickstarter but especially wanted you to know that I would be happy to travel 100 miles or more to see you!

John DeJarnatt

Love to see you come to Tulsa Ok. The Shrine is a place I enjoy seeing live shows at. Will be willing to travel. Anxious to see where this journey will take us ❣️❤️🤗🌹

Byran Saul

How exciting!! Can’t wait to see you perform! I’ll drive 6 hours if needed ! ❤️

Joe Bernier

eva, i'm in austin, tx. i think the cactus cafe is a supberb intimate venue, it's on the university of texas campus and i have seen several bands there including tim kerr's funk oufit bad mutha goose and the brothers grimm way back in 20th century, and more recently an utterly mesmerizing performance by balmorhea, in the before times. as rosencrantz suggested there is also the elephant room downtown (although it is more a jazz venue - dark, plush, and what you expect for the form). i've recently driven to both dallas and houston to see shows, and would do so for you (i do not think dallas has the folk scene that you are looking for - i have seen a show (again in the 20th century) at the mucky duck in houston (the affectionate name for mcgonigels)). i know that casey neill was/is planning on touring next year and mentioned he hoped to make it to texas (i can connect you on fb if you like) - he's a little more raucous, so you might have to open. happy to do street team (flyer) or any other promo work you need for a show here.

Eva, You should definitely consider The Hangar on The Hudson in Troy, NY, just across the river from Albany. Peter Rowan, Michaela Anne, Commander Cody, Sarah Shook and The Disarmers, Bill Kirchen, Soraia & Stupidity, The Surferajettes and many other acts have performed there. Contact Mr. Burke at hangaronthehudson@gmail.com or (518) 272-9740. It's a cool venue with an appreciative crowd, right in the ballpark for the size you're looking for.

Tim O’Connor

I'm in Texas, near Austin. But Austin, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio are all strong music cities. Austin is probably your best bet for a show, the largest base of listeners. It has a big folk music scene. In Houston there is a pub called McGonigels and also one named Anderson Fair which is a famous acoustic venue, these are all in the 100ish range. In Austin there is the Cactus Cafe, the Hole In the Wall and the Elephant Room (and many many others). I'd drive up to 200 miles to see ya easy.

Rosencrantz

Eva, You should definitely consider The Hangar on The Hudson in Troy, NY, just across the

I’m in Washington DC. Some smaller venues are Songbyrd, DC9, the Black Cat. Nearby in Vienna,VA is Jammin Java. I would definitely travel to see you!

Kirsten Shugoll

Cincinnati As for venue, Southgate house Revival or Northside Tavern would be my suggestions. Would love to host a house concert, but dunno if my house is large enough. And yes, would definitely drive.
