Discord Producer Challenge #005

We have a new production challenge happening over on our Discord server!

For this challenge, we've attached a MIDI file taken from the theme of Titanic. We want you to use this melody to create a new piece of music.

The only rule is that your track has to be in the style of JAZZ or FUNK. You can interpret that however you like, so you can experiment within those genres and blend them if you want. Feel free to also just reference the melody subtly if you prefer too; the challenge is about being creative! There are no rules on length, so short skits or epic progressive tracks are all accepted. The deadline for submissions is December 18th.

We've also attached a solo jazz piano re-harmonization of the melody to get you started on some ideas.

Download the MIDI file below, and head over to the #challenge channel when you’re ready to post your finished submission. Our favourite(s) will receive a special Discord role, and we’ll post a selection of the best online.
