Production Tutorial: Q&A (Part 2)

Here is the follow-up to last month's Part 1.

00:24 - How do you approach mixing elements when you want to create a lush and more emotive soundscape?

19:24 - Do you have some shortcuts/tips that you feel are essential, when moving from the beginner stage to more advanced production techniques?

23:28 - How do you make your snares 'roll' or 'trill' in your tracks? Is there a way you program in those quick hits or is it always a sample?

25:18 - I'm curious if you have any thoughts on how to compose shuffle-y evolving drum sections to flow with humanlike variation. Any tips for someone with no background in drumming?

33.09 - Can you dive into how you balance compositional density with the frequency spectrum, and how that influences the overall groove of a track?

I'm so late to the party but... how do you get such a wonderfully crisp clean highs especially when you've got a lot of sub and mid energy : , ( ? Every time I make something I feel like I'm close but then compare it to other tracks and the weight and mids are there but the tops just sound flat... help

That idea to modulate the hi hat attack with the lfo gets really nice results. An awesome tip.

Hey guys, it would be great to listen about your vocal production and mixing techniques if it's possible

Please do a track like you did with Lost in glitch in the more ambient genre. The videos and project files are such a great way to learn and have been so helpful-in a very short period of time.
