2022-08-04 19:08:55 +0000 UTCThis tutorial was great! I did not know anything about drum processing before this and within 30 mins of this tutorial I got some really cool professional snare hits! Now Will talks in this tutorial about not having Vocoder if you are using other DAWs. I did this tutorial inside FL Studio with the stock vocoder and the plugin is different but the parameters are essentially the same so it was easy to follow along. There is also a stock Vocoder plugin if you are using Cubase and it has the same functionalities as well. So there shouldn't be any problem using the techniques he's showing if you are using other DAWs so long as you have any Vocoder plugin. Again, excellent tutorial, Thank you Koan Sound <3

2021-11-08 21:54:53 +0000 UTCReally helps the way you break it down. I will definitely be practicing these moves with other snares. Thanks.

2020-08-29 03:58:43 +0000 UTCThe snare at 9:57 is well on its way to one of the Meanwhile, In The Future snares. I used to try so hard to make that sound and never could, you guys are legendary.

2020-08-26 05:40:03 +0000 UTCThis is worth literally every penny of the patreon. You don't even wanna know how many years I've been trying to do this; very nearly completely the wrong way lol.

2020-08-26 03:57:47 +0000 UTCYou could definitely apply some of the same techniques. Blending in punches with Foley sounds to give interesting tails, instead of your typical snare tail.

2020-08-25 21:30:08 +0000 UTCAmazingly simple once explained, thanks so much for this! Curious whether a similar approach was used for more organic/wet claps like in The Zulla, or if that's more reliant on foley.
