blah blah

I often see some people make rather negative comparisons of My Only AU with reality like "In real life it's like this but in your AU it's like that..." I received criticism, even hate, like I was tagged on IG with mean messages. I tried to ignore but today I had a strong urge to post a few words about it.

First of all My Only One is my AU. Yes, it's an absolutely different story, different people, different lives. I intentionally make the characters, the personalities, the looks different. They are not real life Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook. I claim nothing about real people, I said it many times before and will say it again.

In real life Taehyung is not a doctor and Jungkook is not a captain who fought in deadly missions, killed enemies and suffered PTSD. Moreover Taehyung doesn't have homophobic parents nor Jk's are careless, no way. This is the dangers of comparing fiction to reality like, so I'd strongly ask people not to do it.

On the other side some compare the looks, like why Jungkook is so "manly"? Why Taehyung is so "feminine"? Wait, but haven't we seen Jk's soft side before he went to serve in Special forces? He was pretty, shy and submissive while Tae was the dominant one - who started this relationship first. Later, the heartbreak and war has changed JK.

Being dominant or submissive doesn't say anything about sexual position of top or bottom. In male homosexual relationships soft looks don't tell that the man is bottom and manly looks don't tell that he's top. If we speak generally Jk can look manly and be bottom, same goes for Tae, and vice versa, they can switch. I just don't understand how people are quick to judge only on stereotypes and cliches, like how on earth being shy and crying is a female trait and being powerful and dominant is male trait? These gender norms are so stupid.

In the end, if looks and sexual dynamics everything that matters to these people in MOO story then they shouldn't read it. They better go find fanfics/comics that suit their kinks. My Only One was not created for this.

Alright, that was just a rant on what's been on my mind. People can agree or disagree I don't care, it's up to them. Always, I'm thankful to those who support 💜

P.S. another sneak peek~

Tae's looks aren't just soft, they're very feminine. There's a difference. His figure looks very feminine and his mannerisms are very feminine. (The fact that you're able to portray mannerisms in still art is astounding by the way. You really are very talented.) Sometimes it feels like you took a story about a man and a woman and just made the woman into another man. The idea of one partner in a gay relationship taking on the "female roll" is usually very offensive to gay men. That being said, it's your art, your story, you have the right to draw it however you want. It's still very well drawn and a well conceived story, even thought it's not really to my taste.

It takes such courage to be an artist willing to share your beautiful, moving, and extraordinary work with the world. My heart hurts to know that your work is ever met with criticism or with these unfounded comparisons. The AU landscape which you've created is not only thrilling, compelling, romantic, well-written, and the artwork stunning--it's also YOUR creation: one which you could have chosen to keep for yourself. We are fortunate to be welcomed into this universe. In contrast to any negativity you've faced, please know this: Today is my birthday, and among the things I'll do today to celebrate, what I'm looking forward to the most is enjoying all of MOO. Who needs a birthday cake when you've created all that sweetness! THANK YOU for your work and for sharing it with us. With warm wishes for health and happiness! =)

These people obviously don't understand the concept of an alternate universe! And they can make their own art if they don't like yours. Only they have no talent or creativity so they whine instead. They're losers. You're a hugely talented and creative person who has way more fans and supporters than jealous naysayers. I love your work!

Thank you for this! Some people take things so literally, and forget that sexuality, gender expression, etc. are fluid. Also, an AU is *literally* an alternate universe, so why would you expect reality???

You are so right! And, I LOVE MOO! Keep fighting (that good battle).
