Added 2023-10-28 17:10:42 +0000 UTCHello everyone.
I have been releasing animations every single month for more than 4 years now, and I have to confess, I am exhausted. Releasing long form content monthly is not only mentally draining but also physically, I've had issues with my wrist and they're getting more recurrent, not to mention problems with motivation and burnout, something has to change.
I don't want to stop doing what I do especially since it is my main form of work nowadays (which I am extremely thankful to you guys for), so I am proposing two options that we could decide on.
We could either:
• Still release animations every month as usual, but have them be way shorter (2-3 loops).
• Still have long animations with multiple angles, positions and climaxes, but have it take the course of several months instead of a single one, releasing work in progress content monthly.
Please let me know what you guys would prefer in this poll, and please voice your opinion in the comments.

Whichever option wins (though there seems to be a clear lead), take care of your physical health. Your hands and wrists are an important part of what you do, and might possibly come in handy for other day-to-day uses as well. It's important to keep them healthy for years to come.

2023-10-29 13:44:24 +0000 UTCI don't mind the quarterly full-length animations. At least I know it's less likely to be rushed through.

2023-10-28 20:38:57 +0000 UTCI said the longer animation with longer times, these animations are amazing and also I think it’s good that you take a break on them, we can be patient with these so you don’t have to rush the animation, just take your time on the animation without having to show it quickly

2023-10-28 20:19:15 +0000 UTCLove the content you make, I’d still love seeing full animation but would like for you to take the time and rest so you don’t burn yourself out so often. Better that then having you still do that even if it is shorter animation better take the time and rest so you don’t exert yourself even more

2023-10-28 19:34:21 +0000 UTCI guess shorter if I'm being honest. Least then it feels like I'd be getting my subscription worth instead of paying monthly for 2 or 3 animations a year.

2023-10-28 19:17:38 +0000 UTCTake your time on projects, People will still stick around, and you can always just post WiP and random illustrations if need be. Also I wear a wrist brace sometimes that keeps my wrist and thumb from moving too much while drawing at times if need be.

2023-10-28 17:40:55 +0000 UTCI have, I've been taking breaks more often, and I've also invested in a stand to allow my tablet to be in a better angle and make my posture better as a result. And thank you!

2023-10-28 17:37:51 +0000 UTCIf long animations do become the choice, like they seem to be, I'll probably still sometimes release smaller loops for patreon, so that the only content is not just work in progress animations.

2023-10-28 17:36:52 +0000 UTCHave you considered massage therapy (along with taking it easier and finding a more ergonomic way to posture/work)? It can potentially be very helpful. I have a number of clients (I’m an LMT) with the same and similar issues as yours. We were able to affect change and make work possible again. BTW, keep it up…Your content is awesome! ❤️

2023-10-28 17:33:58 +0000 UTCTouch choice. Could you rotate. Have 6x short animations a year, and 2-3x longer animations a year?

2023-10-28 17:29:30 +0000 UTCId enjoy if the long videos lingered on small loops for longer

2023-10-28 17:27:01 +0000 UTCPlease prioritize your health! The last thing we’d want is you to face significant burn out. Stretching it out to have a long form anim would work best for you to still come up with new ideas and keep yourself from working too much.

2023-10-28 17:25:38 +0000 UTCA change of pace will be good for you especially if your current status is affecting you in the worst way. Who knows it could work out better for you at least it doesn't hurt to try. I enjoy your animations but the last thing I want is for you to hurt yourself doing it. I think a longer animations with several months of work sounds like a good idea. That way it will give you more time to be creative and you don't have to hurt yourself trying to get it done quickly. I hope everything will work out in the end.
