2025-11-09 21:40:09 +0000 UTCHi, RPO Collection doesn't cause crashes. Sounds like there's a lot going on with your Mods folder, luckily we can check that for you on the discord, where you can share error files https://www.discord.gg/AEAsRvn

2025-11-01 20:55:01 +0000 UTCHi, you have old files in somewhere sounds like, you can do a mod Hound scan and or go on to the Discord for further assistance via logs, as we can't see what's in your folders otherwise

2025-06-15 18:55:57 +0000 UTChey I love this mod but I have a bunch of blank choices that won't show any options and I've deleted it multiple times and reinstalled it along with the paternity drama doesn't work either

2025-03-18 20:36:26 +0000 UTChello again, when I installed the mod and turned on my game "RPO - warning" keeps popping up and its just "RPO - warning", blank space, grim reaper photo on the left and on the bottom "ok", I've reinstalled the mod few times and it still happens, is it the file or i'm just doing something wrong?

2025-03-18 19:21:03 +0000 UTCHi, it says which in the message, but for convenience you can just go to the rpo download page, it's linked there in the download section

2025-03-03 17:56:30 +0000 UTChello, I downloaded this and when I go into my game there is a pop up saying I need the custom preference categories. I have tried to find it but I can not work out which mod I need to download? I'm so confused haha, if you could let me know which one it is it would be appreciated, thank you x

2025-02-28 21:43:50 +0000 UTCThank you so much. This might seem a bit silly but I got confused last time I went on discord. Do I type my question somewhere or do I have to message somebody in particular?

2025-02-28 21:40:40 +0000 UTCNone of the rpo collection mods are broken so no worries just gotta find whatever is going on with your case, the discord is here https://www.discord.gg/AEAsRvn

2025-02-28 21:14:54 +0000 UTCYes I think so. Is there a link to make it easier? I've removed RPO to test the game without and it loaded really quickly. So upset it's not working as it's my favourite mod
Rebecca Feather
2025-02-28 21:05:27 +0000 UTCHi, usually it's installation problems and broken folders, but various other possibilities exist and to know which it is in your case, we'd need to look at some logs. Is there any chance you can get on the discord?

2025-02-28 18:16:41 +0000 UTCHi Lumpinou Since the update better exceptions said there was an issue with the RPO core mod and so i updated as i realised i was using an older version, my game is now not loading past the start screen, i left my computer on all day and it is still loading. It has been hours. Is there another known mod which conflicts with RPO. I have checked my mods folder and i have definitely updated everything I have of yours, i also updated wicked whims and MCCC, not sure why it is just endlessly loading, i cant even get back on for better exceptions to give it another whirl.
Rebecca Feather
2025-02-28 18:14:06 +0000 UTCHi, several things. First do a scan on Mod Hound to check for file issues. Second try in a new save. If the new save load, that would indicate that your old save has a lot of Sims with a lot of relatives to process and so the game is trying to do that to retroactively draw up the family relationships for them. Depending on how many you have and how strong or weak your computer is, that potentially could cause a long loading initially until Sims are processed

2025-02-14 18:14:33 +0000 UTCHi hope all is well i'm having so much trouble with M20 & M21 all the others 1-19 work perfectly (still) but M20 & M21 gives me endless loading, i know that's it bc i've tested what works and doesn't taking all my files out and slowly adding them back in (50/50) and to double check several times i've left all the others in only taking out those 2 files and the game works perfectly but add those 2 back and endless loading... please help and thanks for sharing your works with us! :) I've also updated to the 2.984 version if i'm correct is that the current version to use?

2025-02-01 14:57:41 +0000 UTCHi Hi I love this mod but I seem to be having a problem with in laws being made brother and sister on the relationship panel? is it possibly a conflict with mcc? my married couple can no longer be romantic cause they are being recognized as siblings.

2025-01-30 03:51:26 +0000 UTCNo not at all. I do use the recognize as family mod. Other than that I can’t think of anything that would change their relationships. Thank you for responding I appreciate it. 😊

2025-01-29 22:10:34 +0000 UTCHi, Rpo m20 does not make any changes to the family tree, and it does not either change statuses such as gather, grandfather, daughter, etc, so whatever happened to your family is not related to that. Did anyone adopt anyone else recently
Lumpinou
2025-01-29 17:08:34 +0000 UTCHi! I absolutely love this mod and can't play without it but I'm having issues with the family tree and the living relatives part of the mod. One of my sims bio father is being listed as her grandfather and he is no longer married to his wife which is the main sims mother. It is listing her (his wife) a his daughter and granddaughter but not his spouse. Which mixes up all of the relatives and the relationships are listed incorrectly. She is the only sim with this issue. Her husband has the same amount of immediate relatives and even his in-laws are listed correctly but my main sims family tree and relationships are all messed up. Both her husbands family and her family were generated in CAS and not in game.
beingcourtney_b
2025-01-29 14:47:42 +0000 UTCHi and thanks for the kind words. To help your particular sim situation, I'd have to see sim logs of them to diagnose the issue, you can send those on discord, there's instructions there to make them also. Thanks!

2025-01-28 16:08:32 +0000 UTCHi Lumpinou how are you hope all is with you and yours. I just had a quick question about how to fix the custody situation i have. The household i'm playing the boy friend has a kid from outside of his girlfriend and he does have custody of her and he sent her to do the timed visit with the mother and she finally came back but now it wont let me send her on a timed visit anymore is there anyway i can fix that or do i have to give her custody and then do it again? And I truly enjoy having your mods in my game thank you so much for your hard work and effort you put into your work. Greatly appreciated

2025-01-28 05:08:02 +0000 UTCis there a way to make it so kids who are adopted through RPO register the same on the family tree at some point in the future? as an adoptee it can be rough using that route because of the way it doesn't inherently see adoptees as part of the family...but RPO is so much more detailed !!!

2025-01-27 03:51:05 +0000 UTCYeah it does make sense, sorry, knowing EA it could have definitely been a rhetorical question y'know?
Socially Awkward Potato
2025-01-16 20:23:13 +0000 UTCNo, genuine question ahah Just tried to explain the system and why it doesn't show adopted kids, and checking if that's a logic you can get behind or not
Lumpinou
2025-01-16 20:18:53 +0000 UTCIs that a rhetorical question? Lol
Socially Awkward Potato
2025-01-16 20:17:50 +0000 UTCHi! It is designed to only show biological relations so it deliberately excludes adopted ones [that RPO knows are adopted (EA doesn't mark that but rpo does - this only means that Sims adopted when rpo is not installed won't be known to be adopted)] Does that logic make sense?
Lumpinou
2025-01-16 20:16:31 +0000 UTCIt would be super cool if the app showed which kids were adopted. Idk, just a thought.
Socially Awkward Potato
2025-01-16 20:04:04 +0000 UTCAgreed! I also would like step family to not toggle the prevention system only because I want the drama of being like "ew, no" lol
JustCallMeMicrosoftEdge
2025-01-13 15:33:01 +0000 UTCI think things like these may be best as toggleable options or choosing between one or the other. Not just for player preference but compatibility.

2025-01-13 00:32:02 +0000 UTCI find it so annoying that step/in-laws don't show up in the family panel. For the romance aspect I agree with a lot of people that step/in-laws should not be blocked from romance because I understand there is a lot of drama gameplay that could come from that. But I also have a real life uncle that groomed his stepdaughter while his wife/her mom was battling cancer and ended up marrying his stepdaughter after his wife/her mom died from said cancer. So having witnessed the grossness IRL and seeing the years of issues that came from that the line can be murky....but it also means I can just avoid this scenario in my personal gameplay. I don't know how complex the coding for something like this would be, but if there's a toggle that would be cool. Or if there's a way to differentiate between sims that were designated as care dependents vs those that were just around that would be cool. But ultimately my personal experience is my own and I'm not about to shame people or say they shouldn't have access to the ability to create a storyline where step relationships are possible. Just things to consider.
Meeche Lin
2025-01-12 04:45:36 +0000 UTCI like the drama the current system gives me but there is something I find icky. So I would prefer that the only block would be if the sims are caregiver and dependant for non-related sims. I was making a family tree for the curious family and Lola as an adult was attracted to Glabe who raised her...I would rather not see that there. All the other stuff can be used for storytelling.
Cinderelli
2025-01-11 08:38:53 +0000 UTCI think in laws and step family should be in the family panel but i don't think it should be block for the drama... I want the option to have a forbidden romance between step siblings or an affair between a sim and brothers wife for example. Think about the drama lol

2025-01-10 06:48:20 +0000 UTCI understand there's not much that can be done about the teen thing. Appreciate you asking for feedback.
Sam D.
2025-01-09 15:24:33 +0000 UTCI think all family should be in the system, but don't block romance.
Kathy
2025-01-08 22:18:06 +0000 UTCHi and thanks for sharing your opinion! The teen matter is very much an EA thing, and modders usually align with EA when making new features for the game, so, while it creates ridiculous situations sometimes, it comes down to the age system being kind of flawed there, because a 14 yr old with a 24 year old would fit in the same age categories in the game as an 18yr old with a 20yr old. Re the in-law and step family matter, the fact that I suspected people wouldn't be in agreement on it is exactly why the poll is here! It certainly seems that both options need to be available, considering the votes
Lumpinou
2025-01-08 21:25:04 +0000 UTCReally do not want the romance system blocked for IL and step family as a global issue as this blocks game play that may be idiosyncratic. You already have a mod that allow managing romantic relationships on sims by sims basis (except, unfortunately when the sims involve teens). Certainly should not be an integrated part of the mod- could be an add on file? I recently played a family where romance developed between in laws- sometimes people keep formal family ties but do not live together and are not in a romantic relationship. I just think blocking this type of thing is overstep and exclude game play that makes sense in a person's game. I am already frustrated when systems block teen/YA romance as teens in my game do not age up till about age 20, and already in college. It does not make sense that teens can go to college but not date other college students.
Sam D.
2025-01-08 19:28:52 +0000 UTCThanks for your continued thoughtfulness when building these mods Personally, I feel all family (blood related or not) should show in the relationship panel, but only blood relatives should be blocked from romance. However, I can see how that could cause some potential issues with sims autonomy, so maybe a setting that allows for customization would make the most sense? Like, in-laws and step family are blocked from romance by default, but there's a setting to turn on romance for specific sims to allow for storytelling options. (Not sure if the mechanics of that are feasible!) Regardless, I'd love to see step family and in-laws in the relationship panel. Sometimes it feels impossible to track them down!
Taylor B.
2025-01-08 18:55:14 +0000 UTCI understand how that can be an annoyance! It was one to me and that's why Rpo has had reinforced incest prevention systems for a long time - but now said systems get a chance to go further and logically so! It's interesting to see how the poll results so far are extremely divided on this question for in laws and step family though! I'm glad I made the poll so I can try to find ways to answer everyone's game. What I do not compromise on is bio relations though. Those are non negotiable part of the reinforced prevention systems
Lumpinou
2025-01-08 16:23:28 +0000 UTCDon Lothario would be so upset if these were blocked 😂
Brittney Johnson
2025-01-08 16:18:30 +0000 UTCI like the idea of a taboo sort of relationship being recognized between in-laws and stepsiblings/parents. It would be nice to have an option/s to allow those relationships but not blood relatives if you want

2025-01-08 16:10:32 +0000 UTCOh, this is exciting. I can’t wait.
Charlotte Martinez
2025-01-08 15:30:51 +0000 UTCMy gameplay is pretty backwoods/jerry springer type of realistic as you can get so if a sim wants to sleep with his moms new husband then why not, right?
Brandi’s Beats
2025-01-08 13:12:56 +0000 UTCThanks for letting us weigh in! As far as the romance prevention goes, will that be able to be toggled on/off in settings? Then folks can live out their Marsha/Greg Brady fantasies if they want to, even if prevention for step/in-laws wins 🙃
Simslegacy5083
2025-01-08 12:15:53 +0000 UTCAs long as they are not blood related I’m for it because it makes the game more realistic cuz in real life step siblings do fall in love and get married they are not blood related and a piece of paper should not restrict love
Carissa Barriga
2025-01-08 09:55:38 +0000 UTCFor the romance prevention, definitely don't allow for in-laws and step family, but for the relationships and interaction could you choose? Like in real life, some people may see their step family and in laws as family, some may not.
Nikki Hornsby
2025-01-08 08:40:35 +0000 UTCRecently my sims now husband (Wolfgang) went and got his step sister (Cassandra goth) pregnant 🤦🏼♀️ after Mila and Mortimer got Married from neighbourhood stories. Didnt even plan for that to happen, as I didn't realise they were family at the time. So I'd definitely like this mod as an option 😅. Also would be much nicer actually seeing step siblings or parents in the panel, would help make family's feel more connected.
carla-jayne
2025-01-08 08:35:32 +0000 UTCYes! What Rosie said. Sorry for the confusion.
Nicole Adams
2025-01-08 07:22:32 +0000 UTCI'm just happy all the incest in this game is finally being dealt with in a mod. It drives me nuts that second cousins, in laws, & any step family outside of dad or mom can all flirt or romance with each other. It's so weird. I once had second cousins have crushes on each other & it had me dying inside (& not in the good way lol)
Rianna
2025-01-08 04:49:58 +0000 UTCThat makes sense; I apologize for the confusion and wording my response in a way that showed that, but I understand your explanation. I am mainly focused on the romantic aspect of it then and if there will be an option for users to opt-in if you decide to have it designed so it is initially prevented. Thank you for responding.
Official Liv2Play
2025-01-08 04:22:48 +0000 UTCAh that makes sense I see
Lumpinou
2025-01-08 04:13:46 +0000 UTCHi, to be clear, the relationship panel filters and the romance prevention are two different questions and different systems. We can have one without the other and vice versa. But something needs to be decided for the mod in general for both cases, if that makes sense!
Lumpinou
2025-01-08 04:12:47 +0000 UTCI would assume that the teen's parents are not the same (like step-family to the teens) and then the (teens) children fall in love.
Rosie Mitchell
2025-01-08 03:00:15 +0000 UTCHi Lumpinou, I have a question because I am creating a story that is based on a Wattpad story where step-siblings fall in love, and the parents are not planning on having any other children; it's just the siblings who are not related by blood but by marriage. I understand why some people may not want rel panel to be an option for step-siblings, but will you create a way for individual players to adjust the setting to fit their gameplay?
Official Liv2Play
2025-01-08 02:30:55 +0000 UTCHi, I'm a bit confused by this case - these teens are not step family of each other are they? In which case they are free to Romance each other no matter what is done
Lumpinou
2025-01-08 02:16:16 +0000 UTCI'm doing a story where teens parents get married and they end up falling in love with each other. So I rather step family not trigger the no romance
Nicole Adams
2025-01-08 01:29:27 +0000 UTCI'm guessing that the rel panel filters are just going to have to be one way or the other, no settings, but I'd submit that whether step-family and/or in-laws are blocked from romance would be excellent candidates for either individual settings, specific-Sim exemptions from blocks, or both.
