Two patrons requested this this week as they saw I made that other mod [this is a link], so here it is.
1. Set Likes and Dislikes in Live Mode for any Sim on lot
Under "actions" on your own Sim and on others.
2. (Optional) Turn Ons / Offs Auto-assignment system - for npc, played, or both
Settings under "actions".
Turning these On takes effect after a restart, turning them off takes effect immediately.
NOTE: Auto Assign: EA Default VS This Mod:
EA default: (Unmodded)
assigns likes and dislikes to sims of unplayed households only, and generally only when they interact
- The EA npc assign system also generally recognizes only the EA likes and dislikes, NOT modded one. This .EA default is 'sufficient' for many players but a might be a bit limited for others.This mod:
instead makes assignments for every npc as soon as the game loads them,
AND integrates other modders' custom preference traits.
And also gives the choice to assign to Played households which EA doesn't do.
DOWNLOAD & Installation:
1 - remove files from previous versions of this mod, if any
2 - REQUIRED: Lumpinou's Toolbox Library-Mod.
If you don't already have it, grab the REQUIRED "Lumpinou's Toolbox" Library-Mod here (alt: here), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder, NO DEEPER.
3 - grab the .package file for the mod (link below), and put it into your mods folder or one subfolder.

2024-08-03 19:03:48 +0000 UTCNot exactly - let me reformulate. It is not feasible for each modder to have a copy of it, that would mean players can only use one single mod with custom categories. That's why one modder has to maintain one version that integrates all mods and everyone must use just this one version It's the best possible solution and indeed it's good no mod had to die for this EA change! Thanks

So ideally each modder would update their own mod to integrate the functionality, but I am thankful Zerbu made an all for one then 🥰 (preferences plus is huge for my storytelling, I was quite bummed when I thought I might have to give it up). 2024-08-03 18:34:23 +0000 UTCrxkiaa my assumption is you don't use RPO mods and had the version of 'in date choices' which accidentally had references to RPO mods. You can fix that by re-downloading In Date choices

2024-08-03 18:10:25 +0000 UTCHi, the reason for custom categories to need an extra mod is because there is a simdata factor involved. This means that all modders who make custom categories have to share ONE file that is therefore maintained for all mods by one person only. Hence, Zerbu is doing this, so nobody else should :) I hope that makes sense! Regardless of that, custom preferences from other modders, wether they have a custom category or not, are integrated by my mod :) but yeah that doesn't remove the category related requirement which has to do with mods that use custom categories and not with my mod Thanks!

2024-08-03 16:59:28 +0000 UTCThis is great but I found that for CAS to load with custom preferences installed (Helaene's Preferences Plus anyway, which is updated) another mod by Zerbu is still needed. https://zerbu.tumblr.com/post/756892231287422976/the-sims-4-mod-the-custom-preferences-mod If possible it would be nice if you could integrate whatever is allowing CAS to load into this (one less mod is always a good thing 😊) but no worries if not. 2024-08-03 16:48:59 +0000 UTCjust wanted to add-on & say I was also experiencing this, I narrowed it down to either 1. ask to date as hookup/as friends 2. pick likes dislikes in live mod or 3. romantic satisfaction only for official relationships mod

2024-08-02 23:06:32 +0000 UTCI re-download all their updated mods and it's the only one that's giving me this issue. I'm not sure why but all it does is show my loading screen whenever I try to play in game.

2024-08-01 23:52:56 +0000 UTCHi, it's separate / independent. They don't require each other and they each do their own thing. This one is only for likes dislikes that are not of the turn ons/ offs category, and the other is the opposite
