With this mod, your Teen Sims can use Cupid 's Corner to meet other Teen Sims.
HOW TO USE:
Same as Cupid's Corner for YA and up, except:
-> If you don't use the optional add-on:
ignore the age selection section of the UI. It all appears gray because teen Sims can only see teen profiles. Ages are pre-set for you. Just go to matches directly. The age buttons are coded to do nothing by the mod.
-> If you do use the optional add-on:
if a sim chooses to see also YA profiles, you will need to click "YA" in their age election section to enable that. The other age buttons are coded to do nothing by the mod.

Optional Add-on, per requests: The optional add-on enables Teen sims to see YA profiles, unilaterally, if the Sim selects that age.

As I said to the previous person, I would consider making the teen's able to see and interact with YA profiles unilaterally in an alternative version, but no more, and not bilaterally. The problem is the game's 'read' on age is very vague so I can 'understand' cases where a player pictures their sim being 18 dating 19 ie T - YA. But I am not comfortable with anything else and even that is not something that I allow in my other mods. I also, like you, like the idea of teens having their own dating corner, it's just cute. As for renaming the app to something else etc for teens - I had a thought about that and at least will try to rename 'Woohoo' to 'mess around' in the orientations listed if possible although it's exactly the same thing 😂 EDIT unfortunately these UI's don't take tokens so it's not possible to reword it based on age

Teens having their own dating apps to date each other is so cute. (Id even love if their app was a separate one/had a separate name) But if they started being matched on a dating service with much older adults, I would find that very uncomfortable tbh. "Grooming" vibes , especially with all the issues that do exist in the real world of older adults using these sort of services to match up with teens and grooming them. I assume the other poster is maybe just a teenager themselves and doesn't realise? But I feel it would be very icky if im honest.

2024-07-29 20:20:04 +0000 UTCHi, the problem with that is: it's 'borderline' to conceptualize a 15yr old using a dating app to meet up with an Elder, for example, and beyond my own discomfort at the idea, rating-wise sounds against Patreon's terms / children safety type of conditions that are subscribed to by hosting content on here. I'd consider allowing 'young adult' profiles to show up because an 18yr old sim and a 19yr old sim should be fine to date each other, but I don't think I would venture farther than that, if that makes sense :) What are your thoughts?
