If you love the eastern NC summers, you wiil adore the other 3 seasons! It will actually get cold in the winter, but nothing you can't handle. It kills the bugs, how bad can that be? You don't appear to be really close to the water so even the mosquitos should be sparse. Do you have water and power out in the field? Does the yard have an office that has a bathroom? Can you live on your boat while there? Did you throw away the boarding steps you built in the junkyard? If not, can you disassemble them and bring them back up in the trailer? Did you, by chance, check to see if your interviews could be done over a 3 way Zoom call? If so, then where and when won't matter.
