Strong disagree with The Gift being a bad season finale. I feel like The Gift would have been an amazing series finale. Buffy being the ultimate hero and sacrificing herself, finally getting to rest after knowing that she saved the world would have been an incredibly poetic note to leave the series on. I like it better than what they do in the actual finale personally.
