Buffy, Ben, and Dawn are all in very similar situations. All three are supernatural beings that didn't choose to have weighty lives they do. They all would rather have a nice normal life

When you really don't want to watch the next buffy or angel episode you don't have to stick to the watch order and switch between these two if it will help you. I hope this doesn't come out spoilery (if it does, please tell me guys and I will edit). It doesn't work every time because sometimes both shows can be somewhat stressful at the same time but most of the times when btvs episode is extremely sad the next ats episode tends to be more comedic and vice versa.
