This obviously wasn't the most entertaining episode, but it was necessary, I suppose, to further develop the characters. Like you said, Domi, being on their own helped give Cordy, Wes and Gunn a little more confidence in themselves. And Angel's conversation with Lorne gave us some insight into Angel's frame of mind.

A single note, held too long, is indeed just noise or worse. The change is what makes it music. This, I feel, applies to many things. I think about that quote often.
