Giles is rapidly running out of shits to give and it just never gets old. SMG & JM have always had such fantastic chemistry & it's great to see another angle of that - loved up Spike & Buffy are oddly adorable & I love the way they still don't let up with the bickering. Spike showing off just how insightful he can be when he actually uses his brain instead of just fighting - his position as an outsider to the group but still connected to them really helps with that. Played for laughs that D'Hoffryn wants willing employees to become vengeance demons & is perfectly willing to say "oh, okay, no worries" if they say no - it's surprising how that seems to go completely over the head of most people what that says about Anya's backstory - she says herself that he made her an offer well over a thousand years before. Regarding things being set up for later... that's one of the great things about rewatching, you can see a lot of the little hints they drop, some of them very subtle indeed.

Sorry, it's late, my analysis is just kjhhgfdghjkljhgfhjk :D What I got this is that you would like: Tara...her name rings a bell, I just can't place her Faith...she's very sleepy, let her nap! Giles to be happy...he deserves the world and I couldn't agree more 🥰 Oz back...so the throuple thing is on again? What you DON'T want Giles/Joyce, Giles/lady from episode 1, jeez, fussy much? 😆 Buffy and Spike kissing Buffy and Riley kissing Sad Willow (join the club) Sad Buffy (ditto) Sad Giles (so much agreement) PS. I love Anya 😍and that mug!
