2021-06-15 14:06:10 +0000 UTCThe title is definitely Bangel related. When Angel breaks up with Buffy, he says to her that she needs to be with someone who can take her into the light. His commitment to being 'in the dark'ness, so he can help others who live in darkness, has to be his main commitment, because a) he hates that people suffer and b) he wants to ease suffering because he's caused so much of it. He knows Buffy has to be in the dark too, to a certain extent, because of her calling, but he can see a world where her relationship is a source of light (comfort, security, joy, pleasure) rather than characterised by further darkness (worry, pain).
