Every time I get to this episode I’m left with the same wish. I just wish someone would recognize that scene with Xander for what it was: it was sexual assault. At the absolute least Xander was conflicted and certainly he could not in any way be seen as consenting. She wasn’t “manipulating” him with sex, she was assaulting him, threatening rape, and all this before trying to kill him.

2021-06-29 12:32:50 +0000 UTCThe advantage of being so far behind in watching your reactions means I don't need to worry too much about spoilers lol Your reaction at the end was priceless. :D You do denial so well. ;) I'd forgotten how stressful this is for somebody who loves Faith and Wesley (but their later personas) and has to deal with present Faith and Wesley :/ Faith, in particular, is a very complex character but it's hard to forgive the stuff she did here :( That fake out of Giles' though :/ and I do think that one of the reasons Buffy doesn't go to him immediately (and goes to Willow instead) is a consequence of Helpless. And I like the consistency of Faith being bad at lying (remember that party she was going to on Christmas eve lol)
