This is a pretty middle-of-the-road episode - there's some problematic stuff about cultural assumptions - the nonsense with Giles expecting Ampata to translate the seal is particularly bad. But Xander is cute in this, and there are some very funny moments. Plus Oz. You mentioned at the end about hoping the Anointed One or Spike might be in it - The ending of School Hard is not especially clear as they had to cut some vampire deaths to keep the budget down - but Spike killed The A.O. with sunlight in the final scene.
