Hi friends :) This time it's a lil longer than usual... I got kind of caught up absolutely loosing it over Angel and Buffy. I'm okay <3 xo
PS... My quick question of the day is as follows: (RE: My pinned post about asking S1 questions I'd answer in a video) Should I only tape this video after I post the rest of the S1 videos? I'd like you guys to be able to ask questions about my reaction to the finale for example, so even though I'll film a S1 reaction right after I watch the finale, should I wait until after I post the finale video to film the answers to your questions? (Does this even make sense?) Because as of right now you guys can only ask questions until next week but if I did this you guys would have the rest of the S1 episodes to think of questions you have (if any).

I totally agree with you about TVD and Stefan. For me Angel was more natural in his brooding and because of the curse I understood the weight of his burden more. I don't hate TVD but I always felt it was quite gimmicky the way they used the on off humanity switch...it was so over used. In Buffy the soul thing is rare and I love that...the consequences and stakes were far higher in my opinion...it is why the Bangel angst worked for me because their obstacles were not overcome so easily making it far more tragic.

2020-11-07 13:22:56 +0000 UTCSo, here's what you have to remember about this episode. When the world at large saw this one, we didn't know Angel was a vampire. Right along with Buffy, all of us were completely thrown and had no idea if he was good or bad, or what the hell was going on. For us, it was a huge holy fuck moment. Most reactors have not seen Angel's series when they've seen this one, so they didn't know either. Yes, Angel couldn't leave her house. It was daylight. She probably got home shortly after dark, at which point he would have stuck around so he could see her again, since it was only likely an hour or so. Her mother might have also been home and he might not have been able to leave without being seen. There is likely another reason that Buffy walks home alone in addition to the whole superhero thing, or even that it was a different time. Anyone she walks home with would be possibly in danger, so unless it's Xander or Willow, who know the score, she has to protect others by going out alone after dark. Plus, anyone she's with after dark could potentially discover her secret if she happens to come across a vamp at the time. So happy to have found a new Buffy reactor. Looking forward to lots more.
