And yes it is the actors of Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan who sing in the drama And I recommend the other OSTs of the drama, there is a song for each character and it describes each character's feelings to better understand them... Not to mention the melodies which are just magnificent!

When he knew that it was Meng Yao who had killed his brother, he decided to take revenge but in the shadows because he knew that he would not would be no match for Meng Yao if he confronted him... So he asked Mo Xuanyu to save Wei Wuxian because he knew he was the only one who could help him, he put the sword to Mo mansion for Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan to meet again. He let Wen Ning out of prison at the beginning. He then sent the two women to Lotus Pier to confess everything they knew, he sent the threatening letter to Meng Yao. He was also the one who put his brother's body underground... Normally Meng Yao wanted to dig up his mother but instead it was Red Blade Master... When Wei Wuxian asks Nie Huaisang if he didn't want to become the leader of all the clans, Nie Huaisang tells him that he did what he had to do for a reason and it wasn't for this title and yes Nie Huaisang played the role of the idiot throughout after the flashback so that his plan would not be ruined. Lan Zhan does not follow Wei Wuxian because he has to manage the Lan clan in place of his brother because he is in isolation then he became the leader of all the clans so he has responsibilities and he knows very well that Wei Wuxian does not he's not the type of person to stay locked into a clan so that's why he lets him go... At the end, we see Wei Wuxian return after several months and it is Lan Zhan who pronounces his name
