Rewatching this episode on October 27, 2025 ! How can all this common sense be ignored ? Yet here we are ,during government shutdown . Sad to say , times they are not changing, but literally getting worse !

John Hicks

It is now Feb 12. Does’t seem as if much is going on with fire cleanup but Olympics hung ho. Typical Newsom

Mind blowing at just how A-political California is (former resident, my self). While watching this interview; I couldn't help but to think of how California is run akin to George Orwell's Animal Farm. California, in my opinion, is at dawns early light for drastic changes coming after these fires and the lack of proper leadership. God Bless those wildland fire fighters!

Shawn you open my eyes on so many things. Thanks for another great interview. We need young blood with ideas in this government. Obviously what we have is not working for Americans. Trump may not be a young guy but he is smart and entertaining enough to bring them along for the ride. Your interviews are bringing a light to many things that need to be changed! Thanks for being a patriot who wants this Country to get back on track.

Water utility distribution systems in general are designed to maintain pressure to the hydrants under max demand conditions. The “electric pumps “ are the well sites that again, are generally designed to have backup power at each well, so in the event of power failure, can continue to maintain pressure to the system. These are basic design requirements of water utilities for decades.

Great interview! Montana sure is lucky to have Sheehy! Experienced and common sense! I’ve shared this video with all my California friends and relatives!

Shawn I am a republican from Montana and Tim Sheehy is not the man he portrayed in this interview. To start off he shot his friend while hunting, He wants to sell off all of montanas public land to the highest bidder, and he blocked the building of a fishing access site that would have a boat ramp because it was a little to close to his house. Now you can say the last two things arnt that bad, but thats what makes montana special, the fact you have access to any water and an abundant amount of public land, which he is trying to end. Hes not originally from Montana and his entire stick is that of a complete liar/ politician.

Appointing a director of ground or forest fire management and an organization under him is one of the first things Trump should do. As Sheehy said there is no one. Maybe California would then begin to see some much needed changes

He’s spot on about the pay and fire season. Right now in LA, Oregon wildland and volunteer firefighters are being paid while they work, following a 24-on, 24-off schedule. Some strike teams have Portland chief officers in the attached to the strike team package. they are being paid portal-to-portal (from home to home), meaning they’re compensated for every hour they’re away. In some cases, these deployments can result in a Portland chief earning up to $60,000 in 14 days. Paid union firefighters follow a similar pay structure, though their earnings may not be as high. Meanwhile, wildland firefighters and volunteers are earning around $25–$35 an hour. The inconsistency in their pay structure highlights a significant disparity compared to unionized city fire departments. Oregon fire departments make HUGE money of these conflagrations. Wildlife is big business in Oregon and California.
