EARLY Access [Audio] with Nick Irving

Nick Irving spoke highly of his teammate, Benjamin Kopp, who aided them while they were overrun and hunted by an enemy sniper. In this particular deployment, Nick later recounts how Benjamin's selfless actions saved the lives of him and his teammates.

The following is from his mother Jill Stephenson:

Ben did two tours in Iraq before his third tour in Afghanistan in May of 2009. On July 10th, during a firefight with the Taliban, he saved the lives of six of his fellow Rangers before being shot in the leg.

Unfortunately, recovery from the trauma his body endured from the gunshot wound and surgery was not a reality. Ben Kopp died on July 18, 2009 at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC Prior to his death, Ben ensured his living will stated that he donate all of his organs, including bone, skin and tissue. Ben's organ donation saved or enhanced the lives of 60 people and his heart still beats in Judy Miekle of Winnetka, Illinois.

In life and in death, Corporal Benjamin S. Kopp was and still is a hero today.

I feel like a lot of high performance veterans struggle with transitioning from active service. When you're high speed and you abruptly slow down it's just like an racecar engine going from 12,000 RPM to 1,200 RPM. That abruptness is hard to go through, it puts a lot of wear and tear on the mechanism (the mind, the soul, the subconscious). Anyone who has ever been in those high stress/high performance lifestyle knows you're just trying to survive, you're not focused on "watching the gauges" you're focused on surviving the race. We all find outlets to help us cope, some good, most bad, but that transition period is a hard time for reflection and judgement. Yall have a great day and let's overcome every day.

Eisenhower warned us about the MIC. Wilson was a POS. The 1st "Progressive". The Godfather of this Woke fuckery we're dealing with today.

Shawn, thank you for addressing the egos and mindset of certain individuals. I know you can't say a lot on this topic, but you said enough. Much respect for Nick, too. Thank you. 🙏🇺🇸

It is amazing to hear stories like this and to also have experienced similar stories myself, to feel nothing but pain, joy, and to let out all thats inside. Hard to find connection with people who have no clue. Thank you for sharing!
