Do you believe we have free will?

I have had an out of body experience. It's exactly like John Burke describes. A spiritual being observing a physical body. I saw the back of my body mabey 6 feet away and 3 ft higher than eye level. It's like God slowed down time so I could gather myself. Once I thought "ok...so if I'm out here who is controlling my body?" Then I entered back and started slowly regaining Consciousness.

Interesting interview. God is as real as life. I watched my Dad take his last breath, and with him being in a comatose state for the last two weeks, on his last breath, his eyes opened and the look of awe and amazement was on his face. I know he saw God at that moment. Thanks for another great interview Shawn, keep the faith!

If we don’t, we have to believe that God forces people to do things that violate the expression of His will, as defined in His word. God giving humanity freedom to choose doesn’t diminish His sovereignty, it proves it.’only one who has authority can give authority.

Genesis 1... You can have anything in the garden except from that tree... The rest was up to us.

On the psycho healing we need to remember that satan is the great deceiver and an angel of light that can also make great miracles happen. He will do anything to keep our mind off the lord

Absolutely we have free will! What was the alternative? God creates human beings he chose to love Him whether they wanted to or not. Just robots? How fulfilling is that kind of love, especially since God desires relationship. In addition, if God chooses some to be saved, by default, He also chooses others to be damned. The key is found in Paul's writings in Romans where he states, "....for those who God foreknew, He predestined....". Predestination is based on foreknowledge. Next question, is foreknowledge cognitive or causative? For example, Jesus predicted that Peter would deny him 3 times. Jesus foreknew that would happen. But did it cause it to happen? Was Peter without free will because Jesus foreknew the outcome? No! Peter still had a choice. Therefore, foreknowledge is cognitive only (Jesus knows) NOT causative (Jesus made it happen). As a result, we have frewill to choose Jesus sacrifice for our sins or reject it. God foreknows who will accept and reject His Son. Those He knows that will accept Jesus are then predestined to be conformed into His likeness. Finally, giving humans free will was the act of love (apart from Jesus death on the cross which He chose with His free will) where God the Father took the risk of letting us choose.
