Amalar Arc 2 Session 0: The Rote' Begins

We're lessening the impact of what could be a very jarring move by including one hero from our first Arc, Turbine Spizzlesink (Mike Trapp) to help welcome our two brand new heroes CHARACTER NAME REDACTED (Ally Beardsley) and CHARACTER NAME REDACTED (Jacob Wysocki)!!!!!!
It's a session zero time, so we're going to hear a bit about their characters. Including class, vibe, and names. As well as get to know Jacob and Ally a little better for the uninitiated. We of course get off topic and discuss how Redwood trees propagate, the cool skater looks we wanted, and getting absolutely wrecked while tubing.
Absolutely stoked to begin next week with a brand new Campaign episode!!!

If I remember correctly I believe that preacher was also maybe a cop 2. Proud boys - while a lot may be all talk... unfortunately up here in Portland we have first hand experience of them violently attacking people... they are a terrorist group and happy to hear Zac you arenβt worried about losing them as Patreon supporters π

2021-01-28 15:45:17 +0000 UTCi love when ally says things that are just not true. genuinely one of my favorite things but also since this is one of my areas of interest I cannot let these specificβfactsβ go uncorrected. so here goes: Redwoods and sequoia are the same genus but different species so they were either in a redwood or sequoia forest and either way neither of them have seeds βin their barkβ. I actually would be surprised if either of them had seeds released after/during fires (which is likely what they were being told about, and is a not-uncommon strategy to deal with being burnt) because the strategy for survival that trees like sequoia and redwood use is being resistant to fire, especially when it is frequent and low intensity, whereas trees whose seeds are released through fire (jack pine is the only one that comes to mind right now) prefer less frequent fires that are higher intensity.
